1 package (10 oz.)
GOYA® Queso de Freir
1 package (8 oz.)
GOYA® Salsa Verde, to serve
GOYA® Jalapeño Nacho Slices
GOYA® Wheat Flour or all-purpose flour
GOYA® Bread Crumbs Made with Sazonador Total
GOYA® Puro Olive Oil for frying
Slice Queso de Freir into 7-½ inch wide slices, lengthwise. Cut chorizo into ¼ inch thick round slices.
In a dry, pre-heated, medium non-stick skillet, sear chorizo over med-high heat until hot, approximately 1 minute per side. Set aside.
In the same pan, sear cheese over med-high heat for approximately 1-2 minutes per side, until golden brown. Cut cheese into cubes, approximately 6 per slice.
Breaded jalapeño: lightly beat eggs in a shallow bowl. On a plate, spread out flour, on an additional plate, spread out bread crumbs. Cover sliced jalapeños in flour, dip in egg, and then press them into bread crumbs to coat. In a large nonstick skillet, heat olive oil on medium-high heat. Add jalapeños and fry over medium heat, turning after about 1 minute per side. Fry until golden brown on both sides.
Alternately skewer chorizo, one breaded jalapeño, and cheese among 40 - 4” skewers. Transfer to serving plate. Serve with Salsa Verde.
